Rob Eidmann died last night, Godspeed to him.

Rob was the owner of St. Joe Honda, I worked for him for a couple or three years, spoke to him yesterday, he is going to be missed.

Robert Paul Eidmann, 43, St. Joseph, died Friday, August 19, 2011 in St. Joseph as the result of a motor vehicle crash.

He was born July 10, 1968 to Fred and Erna (Rimatzki) Eidmann.

Robert married Wendy (Albrecht) Eidmann on July 26, 1997, who survives along with his two sons, Gage Robert and Noah Robert Eidmann.

He graduated from Karlsruhe High School in North Dakota in 1986 and Meyer School of Broadcasting in 1987. He was a supporter of the American Cancer Society and Leukemia for Children through American Honda and was a supporter of many community organizations.

He was the owner/operator of St. Joe Honda from 1999 to 2011. Previously, he was a TV personality as weatherman for KMOT in Minot, N.D., and was a Sales Executive in broadcast advertising in North Dakota, Washington, and Missouri. He was baptized and confirmed at Norway Lutheran Church in Rural Denbigh, N.D.

Among his favorite past times were motorcycle riding, hunting, hiking and mountain biking with his boys, scooter riding with his family, and hanging out and “talking” with friends. One of his most memorable moments was climbing Mount Rainier on his 40th birthday.

Mr. Eidmann was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.

Survivors: wife; two sons, St. Joseph; mother, Minot, N.D.; brothers, Jim (Peggy) Eidmann, Towner, N.D.; and John (Trista) Eidmann, Adair, Iowa; sister, Susan Brandvold (Joel), St. John, N.D.; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday.

The family suggests memorial gifts to a charity of the donor’s choice.
