good thru the end of march.
i thought we had a thread going on this.
but my local dealer said he is participating.

the DR200 is about 4k msrp depending on the year in stock.
this would be cool to have in the Philippines on the farm. or even here to run errands if gas hits 4bucks !

DR-Z400SM

is also 1k off msrp.
but its 7grand list. which means, as a toy, its out of my league at that price.

unfortunately, the DR400 dual purpose version is not on sale.

Wow, that is a great sale, it is a buyers market!

The Quad 50 does have a governor, adjustable to suit the childs abilities.

Governor - we motohorseman don't need no stickin' governors -

But our kids might!

I think the 2009 DR-650 is on that sale list too if you can find one. They were listed at 1.99% even before this sale. I could have bought one for $4995 last summer before our dealer dropped Suzuki and still got the 1.99% interest.

I saw 1.99% on all ATV Suzukis but I didn't see $1000 off on any them. So I am quite sure the price of $1900 is still the same.

Hacksaw, Where did you find that picture for a Suzuki DRZ-400SM? I can't find where they made a 2011 or 2010 bike and the only ones they have listed on the Suzuki website that I have are 2009, 2008 and 2007 Motards and none have that coloring.

The prices I have on the 2009 Motard is $6699 with $1000 off and if the interest is 1.99% instead of the 6.95% it has been it looks like a pretty good deal too. But for you I would go with a 2009 DR-650SE for about $4699 and 1.99%, that would give you a better deal than I got on my KLR650 Kawasaki. The price is the same but Suzuki's interest is better.

i got the picture from something called Top Speed?
i think they said there was no word if it was going to be imported to the USA. i used the picture because it looked better than the older pics they had of a 200? in yellow.

i dont know if i want to go in the hole for 5k . i agree its is a good deal. i seem to think they didnt have one last time i was in. they had a 650 that they had motarded and the price was reflective of that.
i realize now, after reading the CW article dj told me about, that the dr400 is actually taller than the 650. so that rules out the 400 anyways.

for 3 thou it may be worth having the super gas mileage of the 200 just to make errands fun instead of a chore.
whats 3k x 1.99% untill 2014? cant be much a month. i can save that in gas.

175's didnt feel that small when i was a kid. i would think modern 200's should hold there own. i used to ride some real old logging roads that were so over grown and muddy in spring , that one had to occasionally get off the the bike and move it a bit. i dont see being able to do that and duck sapplings or even toss the bike in the back of the van if it was a 650.
but i need to go look before march 31. right now i am not gong anywhere.

That explains the difference in the colors. I will add that the Motard sits lower than both the DR-650 and the DRZ400S and my KLR650, but the seat is just as bad as the test claimed. Smile

bad seats seem to be the in thing these days with the OEM's. i dont think it would bother me much just running a few errands or hitting the woods for an hour or two. it does make sense the motards are lower.
i dont know. i really just dont know. i never thought much about gas mileage before. now i do. but i also was never looking for an excuse to buy a 200cc bike before either.

i wonder if suzuki has accessory racks for these models.

They have racks for my Suzuki 400 but it makes it look worse then my tool bag. Gas Milage on my 400 is 60 mpg and in the 50's with the KLR650. The KLR comes with a pretty decent rack and they have bigger ones available for it too.

You can check on Ebay for racks for the 200, thats where I found several things for my Suzuki and Oil filters for both my Suzuki and Kawasaki at a very good price.

Buying a DR-200 to have some fun on and run some errands and save on gas at the same time is cool. But buying the bike just to save gas will cost you more than just driving your car. Smile
