Last year, I sort of winterized the bike with a full tank and stabilizer, planned to ride year round.
Flippin' carbs leaked the full tank out all over the storage unit, it was not a good thing but no real harm was done.
Brought the bike home, and today, January 28th, it was supposed to be 70 degrees out :shok:
I finished working around 3:00 and loaded up the postal person with packages. OMG it was nice out - I looked at the bike and thought, why not?
Then I remember the carb issue. Decided to pull the carbs and have a look.
O-rings looked fine, but the float needle valve, need to replace them - before I went to Randy's site I called and our local dealer had a set of 4 in stock!
What the heck, I went and picked them up! Installed them, put the bike back together and went riding for a couple of hours today - I can not say how much I needed it!
Here are the old needle valves -
I sure hope that was the problem - bike ran great!
and no leaks, so far, so good!
